If you think that Lloyds has charged the banking commissions for you unfairly, or you are experiencing financial difficulties, you can call 0800-072-3572 or contact the nearest branch with a request to reimburse the cost of the commission.
The bank can meet halfway if a client:
- lost his job and barely has enough money to pay for food and utilities
- is caught in a credit spiral, i.e. the amount of the accrued fines exceeds the amount that a customer can allocate to pay off the debt
- the commission is significantly higher than the violation, for example, you got into an overdraft of 1 pound, and the bank wrote off a 40-pound penalty
If your request has not been granted by the bank, you can contact the Financial Ombudsman at South Quay Plaza 183 Marsh Wall London, E14 9SR United Kingdom, or call 0800-023-4567.
