If you want to dispute a transaction at HSBC, for example, to return money for a low-quality product, first of all, make sure that it is not in the status of pending. HSBC can only consider applications for completed transactions that were made within the last 120 days (occasionally and for a longer period).
If these conditions are met, you should contact the seller first. Often sellers, if they aren’t right, go to a meeting and return the money faster than if it goes through the bank.
If the seller does not want to meet you, you can apply to HSBC for a refund as follows:
- log in to the mobile app
- switch to the Support tab
- choose Query a transaction
- choose the banking account and the transaction for which you want to apply for a refund
- look through the enhanced transaction details
- choose Get Help and follow the prompts
If you want to apply for a refund on other products of the bank, use the HSBC dispute contact number: 03457-404- 404.
If you want to get the HSBC bank charges refund (HSBC chargeback) or the HSBC loan interest refund you can visit the webpage and follow the prompts.
The HSBC refund time is usually up to 10 business days.
