HSBC message scams

See what to do if you receive scam texts from “HSBC”

Scammers frequently send scam texts to clients of HSBC to obtain personal information of the client to access his bank account. 

Such letters look quite believable and stimulate a customer: 

  • confirm new transfer recipients
  • take urgent actions 

Remember that the bank only sends messages from the numbers below:

And if you received a suspicious message and the sender's number is not included in the above list, you should report scammers by: 

  • calling to 7726, or to a phone number on the back of your card
  • mail to [email protected]@hsbc.co.uk

  • download any attachments
  • click on any links
  • reply
