How do I reset the online banking of HSBC?

Resetting HSBC online banking is a simple task. 

So, if you have forgotten your password, you should: 

  1. open the mobile app or online banking
  2. enter your username
  3. create and confirm your new password
  4. call 0345-6002-2900 or +44-1226-261-226 from abroad to confirm the changes 

If you have forgotten the username, then: 

  1. visit the HSBC website
  2. switch to “Log on”
  3. choose “Forgotten username?”
  4. select an identification way
  5. enter your details and follow the prompts
