A payee scam in HSBC is when you are contacted with a request to confirm a transfer to your account, which does not exist.
As a rule, this is an email or SMS sent to your mobile phone or post with a link to a fraudulent site that asks for your details to confirm a payment or enter your online or mobile banking.
Remember that you should only log into the system from the official website of the bank: hsbc.co.uk, and never enter your personal information on Internet resources that you are not sure about.
