What is an HSBC phone scam?

Find out what a phone scam is

A phone scam is a type of fraud when an attacker calls you or contacts you using instant messengers, like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, to obtain your data or encourage you to transfer money to a scammer under the pretext of deception, for example, ostensibly for urgent assistance to your relative who had an accident.

You should never answer or share personal information with suspicious contacts but rather use the HSBC scam phone number: 03457-404-404.

Be careful, because there are times when, having received personal data, attackers can try to compromise you, so you can completely lose your chances of receiving compensation for stolen money, for example, they will ask you to share a one-time password, delete your mobile banking app or reply to text alerts incorrectly.
